although I can imagine a cut in liquidity would cause orders not to be filled, I don't think it would explain :- 1. Why cannot access myig and then the platform 2. Why the price feed stopped working through the API 3. Why sometimes myig worked but could not switch accounts My guess, for what it is worth, is there is a significant increase in users around the US open and for some reason now the IG systems cannot cope, maybe there has been a sudden increase, or a significant build up since the beginning the of year.

I looked at it earlier and it showed the problems when they were current.

this is not good Charlotte, I haven't used IG for a few years and it seems the service reliability has really dropped, I've just invested not insignificantly in integrating my trading algo with your API Can you give us a timescale for when these reliability issues will be solved?

I had issues from about 15:00 for maybe 30 minutes today and the status page status.ig.com showed they were working on it for sometime. 0800 195 3100

Have you asked them to credit you ? Ive had such issues in the past and got a refund

Yeah I am streaming the current ticks with my node JS program using the streaming API, but cannot load historical tick data it seems.

Thanks for your reply, I find dukas copy is great for forex, but the Wall Street index is proprietary to IG so the equivalent Dukas index is not close enough for my needs sadly. I have a node JS system receiving the feed from IG and am using Python for the rest API, I really need the tick data though, I was hoping some kind soul had recorded it for a few years and wouldn't mind sharing
