Pivot Points not appearing on Dax charts

joebloggs44

Question

Hi I have an odd situation where the pivot point indicator is on my charts and shows for all instruments (FX/Commodity/Indices etc) but not on the Dax chart. I can see these clearly on the FTSE chart for example...

Does anyone have any idea why the pivot points might not appear on the Dax chart specifically?

This is still a problem for me... is there an alternative to this community to get questions answered?

Thanks.

yes of course, just email the help desk. I can confirm that pivots are showing on dax charts on the web based platform no problem so it may be specific to just your platform.

I use a java based download of Pro Real Time on my Mac I didn't realise there was a web based version. Can we use that as an alternative as IG clients? It is free at the moment on Mac platform but web platform has charges

not a web based PRT no, IG have their own free web based platform, the IG version of Prorealtime (download free if min 2 round turns a month), plus mt4 and the dma platform both free.

The PRT uses the same data feed as IG's own platform so presuming it's a problem with PRT then click on the Help icon in PRT and select 'send a report' write a brief description of the problem and send, it goes to IG tech staff who should be able to help.

    • ...............to make my question a little clearer. Yesterday i had around £800 to deal.   I bought 2 stocks with the full account value leaving around £2 Available to Deal.  While there was a considerable amount Unsettled Credit and Debit which is not uncommon as i trade many times daily, I bought the stocks with no issue.  Shortly after, my Available to Deal showed as -£495 instead of £2, Funds showed as -£495 and my account value showed as £320. even though my stocks choices were only down less than £5 each.
