Futures Contracts

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to ask whether the futures contracts on the indices market automatically roll over or not. If they don’t how can we roll them over to the new contract before the position(s) are automatically closed.

thanks

Hey,

You can set the rollover instructions on your MyIG page by selecting Settings> Rollovers

I hope this helps,

Hi Charlotte,  I don’t seem to have this option as you can see in the screenshot I sent in my last post.

Hi, it would be useful to include the account type you have and country you are in as not all have the Futures charts available.

Hi Casey, I’m UK based and the account type is a CfD account. Does this make a difference?

ok, so there shouldn't be this problem, make sure you've sent an email to the helpdesk to get tech to look into it and correct it, they take 3 or 4 days to respond but should be an easy reset.

Do you have the Futures charts (small arrow for dropdown box next to the dfb chart asset name top left)?

    • It's times like in the attached image, Oct 18-dec 18. The FTSE saw declines over an extended period of time. If your view even over the short term eg days is that the market will recover the falls, in this case that isn't true. Basically I think I need to learn how to short, as long trading isn't always the right thing to do.
    • Hello Everyone, Quite the noobie question, but how exactly can I know how trusted and well intended and ICO is? I've been scouting a lot of them for quite some time and I've seen both sides of the coin. I've seen ICO's with good marketing and youtubers talking about it that just dissapeared after a few months, and I've seen ICO's with not as much publicity breaking the bar (ELROND for example). Any help would be appreciated. I would like it if we posted here our research and opinions so we can further examine ICO's if anyone else is into that stuff
    • I am very uncertain about this coin. If you have more info please post here, I am following
