Hi

I would like to ask, if somebody could help me about the rules for pattern day traders.

Is it right that you are allowed to make more than three trades per 5 days if your account not drop below $25.000 ?

Sincerely

Thomas

Hi @Thomas,

The short answer is no – the pattern day trader rule does not apply in the UK. If your trading broker is not regulated by FINRA – ie it is regulated by an authority outside of the US – you will not be bound by the pattern day trader rule.

Thanks,

Jakub
