iOS alerts no longer working

Question

On iOS my alerts have stopped working. They worked fine before I switched them off, after switching them back on I get no alerts.

The alert happens in the app - ie you can see the alert has triggered in the alert screen.

When you are in the app and an alert triggers, the red bubble on the app icon increments to show the alert. If you are not in the app, the bubble doesnt display/increment.

If notifications are disabled on the iphone, the IG app will not permit me to set the alert.

What have I done to try to fix to no avail:

  • Deleted app, hard rebooted phone and reinstalled app
  • Deleted app, hard rebooted phone, updated iOS and reinstalled app
  • Switched off notifications for a period before re-instating them
  • Changed the notification types
  • Double double checked Notification settings against apps who's notifications are working to confirm set-up
  • Explored the market for alternative apps that work!

Would appreciate any thoughts that don't involve resetting the iphone :)

Hi, I have the same problem as well with alerts no longer working.  Is there a resolution or way to fix this please?

Alerts have started working again for me on my iPhone - i haven't chaged anything so assume there was a release that fixed this? I only realised on Monday when I set one to see if they were working again - don't know when it was resolved.

Thanks for the update.  I've had the issue on and off before and it usually fixes itself, but it's frustrating when you're expecting alerts that don't get notified.  Funnily enough I've had one come through on my phone just now whilst typing this!!

    • With Bitcoin aiming for a new ATH, this staking might be the best option to maximum holding
    • Tbh, trading can be frustrating, I keep trying different strategy to perfect my trading skill but all seems to be in vain. Recently, I learnt we can use AI to predict the market to trade, so I decide to start asking AI to analyze when btc is overbought so I can look for short entry but this seems not to work against as most trade I enter end up hitting my SL. I know this is part of the learning process so I don’t risk too much but it hurt to lose fund especially when you are trying your best to make your first positive trade. Sometime, I just feel the market is totally against me and that further discourages me from futures trading. Recently, I got introduced to BTC staking on some platforms like BGBTC on bitget, Babylon chain, Solv protocol, Coredao etc but that doesn’t quench my hunger to understand BTC volatility since I will just stake my btc and earn apr. I want to understand how this volatility works so I can start making something from futures trading rather than just staking to earn apr. Also, I feel staking is for spot traders that intend to hold for a longer period and that doesn’t expose you to the market. I am not like most trader that prioritize profit over knowledge even when that is the final goal.
