Can I set up an IG trading account if im Polish?

Oh dear, that's a bit harsh on the Poles considering IG has an 'operational hub' in Krakow. You can work for IG just not trade with them ?

No doubt there is some Polish law preventing it as I'm sure IG would otherwise be more than happy to accept Polish clients. 

Though just looked at https://brokernotes.co/poland/  'best brokers for Poland' and IG are listed there !!?

These 'comparison sites' are generally just well formatted, search engine optimised, web pages where individual companies can pay to be at the top (IG doesn't do this) or companies which pay out the highest level of rebates for affiliate marketing. 

Unfortunately like you said there are regulatory reasons (and business decisions) why we unfortunately do not offer accounts to the region of Poland.
