buying and holding

hey guys, if i want to buy and hold, which option do i choose when buying? in terms of "order type"? thanks in advance

just need to know which order type to use so that my stock wont expire as i plan to hold it for a long time,  any feedback would be appreciated, thankyou

exactly that - the order type is only important for how you buy the shares in relation to it's price point. If you're looking to 'buy and hold' as a strategy then you can use use either order type.
