Not sure.. very frustrating.. every other big broker allows you to see this information. OANDA, FXCM etc all allow you access to DOM, and orderbook. Seems that this broker is missing vital indicators.

IG provide Level 2 data on their Direct Market Access platform. Not sure how that works for US clients as it's linked to a cfd account which the US don't have.

Is L2 data available for spread betting?

If you are asking about level 2/DOM and spread betting you might have no clue about what spread betting actually is.

I know exactly what spread betting is thanks.. and as per every other broker.. yes that's right.. every broker with spread betting.. you are not restricted from seeing this but you can in fact you can see the DOM. If you are not sure what that is.. it allows you to see where the liquidity and bulk of orders are and where the volume is.. and where supply and demand is. It seems IG is the only broker which doesn't allow this. It is not limited to CFD's and yes you can view it with a spread bet account. I am not asking if I can directly trade from the DOM.. but to be able to see where any low volume nodes are which can cause rapid price movements.Platforms MT4 Open Order

Hi Vision. That's the OANDA Open order indicator, it shows the aggregate positions and orders of OANDA clients  I.e. client sentiment.  It is as useless as it can get because does not show the liquidity of the underlying market you are trading, instead it's showing where Oanda clients are positioned. The market moves based on the underlying market liquidity not based on oanda's client trades.

You can only get access to real Depth of Market if you pay a data provider (IQFeed/ Rithmic, DxFeed etc) and subscribe to the exchange where your product is trading and that's why I left that message.

IG offers real depth of market for CFD trading via L2 Dealer app, you can also place trade using the ladder but you have to be a professional client to use it.

All the best

    • 👀  Very interesting article by ZeroHedge on the recent big main stream narrative flip (China lab leak); Why The Davos Elites Just Played The 'Jon Stewart' Card | ZeroHedge ''Now Stewart comes out at this moment to pull his schtick on Colbert’s show to rally the libs to the whole WuFlu, “China Did It To Us” Narrative The Davos Crowd is pushing on us now?  '' ''They’ve pulled out the Jon Stewart card to convince the squishy Millennials that China is our enemy.  Google will now whitewash all references to Ft. Detrick, their October 2019 exercises and all the rest of it.  Remember, Millennials, in general, don’t know anything.  They just Google **** and think they’re informed.''   Here is the comedy show segment (8 min) the article centres on, watch it first.
    • Sky reports on a new 'outbreak of covid' found during the mass testing of asymptomatic kids. No rise in 111 calls, or hospital admissions, or deaths. So just another outbreak of faux 'cases' then. This is why the mass testing of asymptomatics is a waste of time and nearly every other country is stopping it. The UK keep it up because it's useful to coerce people into taking the jab. They already stopped it for adults, they've been jabbed. There is only a few hours between getting infected and developing symptoms, very few would actually be tested then. Once you have symptoms you are not allowed in a testing station or at school. So most of those 'cases' are false positives, or bad lab work (even the BBC admits that is happening), or most likely people with immunity who have come into contact with the virus up to a month previously and old fragments from the destroyed virus are left in the blood. This virus has been circulation for over 18 months, there can't be many who have not already come into contact with it. But but but variants!!!!!!!! There are already many research papers out that show that immunity works on the variants. Only govt science experts and model makers pretend otherwise.   Meanwhile, continuing studies (if you've been jabbed you're in it) are showing the vaccines to be increasingly unsafe while more and more studies show Ivermectin is safe, cheap and effective against covid and can also be taken prophylactically.   Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infection A Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, and Trial Sequential Analysis to Inform Clinical Guidelines' Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infectio... : American Journal of Therapeutics (lww.com)
    • GREAT CONUNDRUMS OF OUR TIMES:   1/ The WHO, having originally said it wanted a ban on alcohol for pregnant women now proposes the ban should apply to all women of childbearing age.  | BPAS HOWEVER, the WHO also says it's perfectly fine to inject pregnant women with an experimental vaccine. 🤔   2/ THORPE PARK says; ''in line with our ride restrictions, all our guests who are mask exempt are required to sit in the row farthest to the back to reduce the risk of air transmission aboard our attractions.''  BUT, as @dontbetyet points out, ''The risk of a ride malfunctioning and someone being injured / killed is a greater risk to someone in the theme park than outdoor transmission. Therefore it would be prudent for THORPEPARK to shut for good as the risk is far too great!''  🤔   OR THIS; 3/   OR THIS; 4/ You're the head of the NHS and are asked for your thoughts on Mad Matt Hancock - what do you do? 🤔     .
