It's not the platform that's 'dictating' how one ought to trade, it's the structure of the fees and commissions. A common complaint against day trading in the academic community is that after fees and commissions, most 'day traders' fail to outperform an S&P 500 tracking ETF. -

Neither CMC Markets nor City Index have a two-factor authentication mechanism, either. Total f*king garbage! And if they are getting attacked by malware they must be using Windows machines - another big no-no! Switch to RHEL immediately for your servers! -

Indices have been money-losers all week on the hourly chart. A lot of FX pairs have been losers too, unless you like counter-trend trading. Commodities have all sold off like MFers. Not been a good week. Oh well, there's always next.

I doubt that it is aimed at people who buy and sell a share within two hours. That's what the SB/CFD platform is there for.
