What bet sizes become more difficult to execute?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I read that one difference between demo and live accounts is that on demo your order will get executed whereas on a live account that's not necessarily the case if the demand isn't there.  This becomes more of an issue i think with higher bet sizes?  So what would be classed as a large size? Is that an impossible question to answer?

Thanks

you are not likely to have problems unless heading into 3 figures, firstly the CFD (and SB) market is massive and way bigger than the underlying asset they are based on, you will have greater problems with stocks on the share dealing platform. Also when starting out you want to stick to small bet sizes and large main markets anyway until you can prove your system and then grow size slowly so partial fills unlikely to be a problem for a good long while. On twitter many traders talk about not getting a fill but what they generally mean is that price didn't tag their order level.

Thanks Caseynotes, if i understand the terminology correctly i'm talking about bet sizes that fall within tier one.  So I guess this is considered small

Do they brag about the size of their tallywhackers and their big fancy cars?
