Technical error

Question

Hi

I am unable to access my web platform. When I click into my trading account there is no response from the web platform. according to the code there are 4 errors.

See attached

Please assist ASAP

I've got the same problem.

The same problem, whether Chrome , Edge or IE.

Adobe Flash installed, and allowed. Cache history ,etc deleted.

Problem stays the same ... cannot open New Platform . Only get the IG sticker . Can open old platform.

Only one very brief outage that was fixed by refreshing my browser.  Is it fixed for you?

Getting 'market available' for US Tech 100 and AUD/NZD.

This platform is f*king buggy and glitchy I'd never trust it with large sums of money.

We have had several reports of clients currently experiencing issues accessing the platform due to network issues. We’re working to resolve these urgently. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and please login to IG mobile app to manage your positions.

I'm afraid if you are expecting any help from IG you are in the wrong place. You need to troll them on Twitter and they may actually take notice.

Haha, I tried that the other day (I had a long trade on gold which didn't close when it hit and exceeded my limit) and they totally ignored me there as well.

If you're persona non grata they will just ignore you entirely.  :D

Hi , i have been experiencing the same problem, how do i open  the old platform?

mine is working now.

open old, by going to myig , will see account, and under it "open platform", with a down arrow on its right.

click down arrow and it will open the option to open in old platform.

    • If in the UK you can buy physical silver (coins or bars) from the royal mint or royal mint authorised dealers. Just search the internet. You probably want to buy whatever is captial gains tax exempt (I think silver britannias are). Shop around for the best price and also be careful about VAT as I think you may have to pay that on some purchases and not on others . Of course when you buy physical silver in UK as an investment you also have to consider what GBP/ USD is up to as any change in  exchange rate in future will affect your return (as silver is priced in USD). If you don't want physical then you could buy shares in a silver ETF (eg. SSLN) which is  backed by physical metal or if you want to spread bet it you could buy spot silver. It all depends why you want to buy it. If just as an investment then you get a better return buying etf or spread betting (easier to cash in when you want to and potentially less hassles with tax). If you are worried the banking system will freeze up and you can't get money out at some point in the future ( possibly not likely but you can never rule it out) then it's physical - stored outside the banking system either with a company or stored somewhere by yourself. I'm not an expert on this but have just read a bit about it lately as lots of articles suggesting silver will go higher over the next months / year.
