It's been a third day in a row that starting 2.30 pm platform is down for about an hour. I can not log in. Does anyone have this issue?

Yes, platform has been down for me too... Seems like it is only certain people though?
Is it because I've been trying to trade the Melvin short stocks and Silver?!

If they don't want you to trade certain shares they'd close the market for those but not shut down the entire account. I think I'll look for some alternative platform.

it is everyone, very terrible, no wonder most clients lose money. This is very terrible and this comes across as unprofessional. How can a big broker as this keep having these ancient problems> I feel like I am about to have a heart attack.

I can only apologise for that's happening. 

I'm not defending what's happening. We're working to get the login issue sorted (updates here: https://status.ig.com/). 

I can assure you though that these are technical issues. 

I'm waiting on updates to give. Massive apologies, I completely understand everyone's frustrations.

Yeah, I have same the issue. Tried using the app and my pc neither work

This is the 3rd straight day of not being able to log in. And not for the first time either, this happened on atleast 10 occasions I can think of in the last 12 months.

Surely there has to be legal requirements to maintain a functioning platform in order to be able to operate? Or atleast a body who we can report problems to that can hold IG to account?

Iknow there are maintenances issues given the current market... hopefully this is rectified quickly before people start looking at other options.

I would also check their forums. If competing platforms fail at the same time like they did in America, then it is not only the brokers but market makers that are trying to keep retail out of certain markets. If this occurs because MMs are set to lose a lot of money (for a change), then it is blatantly illegal and if the authorities are not corrupt, their investigation should send certain people to prison. Not only in America. Manipulating markets by cutting off retail is not legal anywhere. For now I can still believe it is only a technical glitch, but if competing platforms also fail, it is not.

This is a fkin disgrace. Cant open or close anything. For an hour and 15 mins now. I've called / waited on live chat / sent emails.

This is an absolute joke.

Losing money because i am unable to access platform on any device.

Someone better be getting in touch ASAP with me to work out how i am to be compensated.

so far i have lost 2000 because i couldnt come out of some spread bets because of the platform down who is going to reimburse me the money and still cannot get on now 3.48 !!!!!!!!!

I dont want to hear apology. I want a working platform. I entrusted my asset with IG, but what I got is a disaster. If there is a real crash, is IG going to bear users lost?

You are increasingly losing your customers while this sort of so-called "technical problems"  keeping happening at the most important trading hours! 

this is absolutely  not acceptable!  Looking for an alternative for IG!

Can you please explain how you expect customers to have any trust in the platform? I have literally watched a position swing from a gain to a loss to a gain again since this outage and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

US markets open at 2.30 pm. So lots of users today to buy GME and AMC. It sent the server crashing.

I still want to apologise on behalf of IG. This technical issues is impacting your accounts and we want to make sure all positions are closed at the right price. 

As you're aware our phone lines are busy at the moment but we do want you to reach out let us know where you would have closed your positions, why you couldn't (I know we will be aware but please mention that it was during the times you were not able to login/ close positions). If your exposure is correct please email us so we can make corrections.
