No Prefill available for ATO?

Hi, I am launching my tax return that is due end of October here in Australia, and I realize that my profits from stock trading are not pre-filled automatically in the tax return as I know it with other share trading platforms. Does IG not report to the ATO automatically when I sell stocks? I thought they would have to do so, why cant i see anything?

I have never had any platform report trading activity to the ATO, including CommSec.  I have always used Sharesight.  They import my trading activity and then I generate the required reports needed for the ATO.

Hi @Patins,

Unfortunately IG does not communicate with the ATO like a Superannuation fund would for example. A TFN is required as for AUS account as only Australian sole tax resident can open an account.
