I G trading suspended

 I’ve noticed they sometimes suspend trading from time to time for no reason.:smileylol:

Clients accounts can be closed on a case by case basis, but the statements posted seem to be based on an incorrect understanding of the business model we follow and are categorically inaccurate. Due to confidentiality we would obviously never discuss anything on a public forum.

My post was hoping , you would clarify criteria for I G to suspend trading on any instrument, on general information basis.I was not asking for comment on any specific situation.

See the later posts in the tread, the guy was trading on the increased volatility around the big Japan earthquake not only without a guaranteed stop loss but without any stop loss at all. When the nuclear meltdown was discovered the nikkei would have been going crazy, no wonder IG stopped the market by calling a 'forced majeure event'. More info on this type of event is within the terms agreement.

Hi  , as  pointed out the above terms may have been accurate, however as previously stated IG wouldn't comment publicly.

 

Broadly speaking it could be for a number of reasons such as market manipulation, insufficient funds or a debit balance, a debit balance on another un-linked account, a change of circumstance such as geographical location, falling below the required earnings and savings values, previously expressed issues with trading or addictive gambling...
