Can't find IG Trading app in Google Play Store???

Question

Hi,

Does anyone know why the IG Trading app has been removed from the Google Play Store? I'm sure it was available on there just a year ago. I was using it on my previous Android phone and now I want to download it to my new Android but the app doesn't show up when I search for it! I can only access the IG Learn to Trade app which doesn't give me access to trade. Weird! Can anyone help??

Thanks,

T

Hi @tghatore and gliu - You are correct, the IG Trading App isn't currently on the Google play store. We believe this to be an error on Google’s behalf and we are working with them to get it back online, our apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

You can use the IG mobile web dealer as a work around for the time being whilst we try and resolve this issue. This is Android only, iPhone is unaffected by this.

How to access mobile web dealer

  1. Navigate to the IG website using your mobiles web browser, and then login.
  2. Once you’ve logged in, a mobile version of the My IG page is displayed allowing you to choose the account that you’d like to access/view. (Example with demo below)

      3. Select the ‘Trade on mobile web’ to access the mobile web dealer:

How to add the mobile web dealer to your Android home screen

Within the web app, select your mobile browser’s menu, and then select the option to ‘Add to home screen’

Once added, you will be able to access your account. If you log out, you'll will now see a login page as below.

    • Analysts have noted a historical correlation between crypto prices and the stock market, particularly in relation to interest rate decisions. Post FOMC decision witness Bitcoin’s price showed little change drop to about 0.17% on the day while other crypto like the Bitget BGB recorded a mild gain. Crypto market analyst TXMC has warned of a potential recession in 2024 due to tight credit conditions, which could influence both stock and Bitcoin prices.
    • If that's the case, then I believe the next step is for the dev team to create an in-app EVM wallet that can process payment natively for PayPal users who wishes to use the stablecoin for transaction on the platform
