Error - "Sorry - only available for trading on leverage"

Hiya,

Attempting to make a trade here and I'm given the following error message

"Sorry - only available for trading on leverage."

Can anyone help ?

Hi @ddddd,  it's likely to be down to IG not taking trades when a market is small and illiquid, sometimes the underlying market may be too small but the derivative (leveraged) market, which is always larger, remains large enough to continue to be offered.

Unfortunately we have recently removed Cannabis stock from the Share dealing platform. This was on the back of a review of the regulatory and political implications of offering Cannabis stocks in the UK with a recreational link. You can therefore only trade this on a leverage account which is a derivative and hedged via swaps.

Even with MSOS? I understand the inability to trade OTC pink slips but the ETF MSOS in addition to NYSE/NASDAQ listed companies should be tradable without any question regarding legal frameworks.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated that I can't buy cannabis stock. I am thinking of changing my dealing platform, sorry.
