why are dividends showing as a large adjustment on my account?

    Hi @Beckybeech,

    Thank you for your comment.

It’s important to remember that leveraged index traders can neither profit nor lose from these price movements, as they’re scheduled public events. Where a trader able to profit from these movements, they’d simply place a large short position just before the adjustment and close out just after, locking in the drop in the value.

If you have an open position through a dividend adjustment, we’ll ensure that there is no material impact on you by either crediting or debiting your ledger with the exact amount you have incurred as additional running loss/profit due to the dividend adjustment.

You can find further information with example here.

    Hey team,

should I still be getting 'No data found' when looking for my annual statement? Because it is still not there yet.

    Hi @Ben5109,

Please follow the steps on the link below:
    https://www.ig.com/au/help-and-support/accounts-and-statements/statements/how-to-generate-a-statement-or-an-account-ledger-summary

If the dividend payments received are normal dividends, this statement will be available the month after the financial year has concluded. However, if you’ve received dividends from an attribution managed investment trust (AMIT), your statement may be generated as late as October, as we can only include that information once we’ve received a breakdown from the company concerned.

    I hope that it helps.

Charging a fee for voting services or a confirmation letter is very poor. Most other brokers offer this service free.  Charging money for a letter saying you own shares is poor

    Hi @GDog,

IG operates under a direct custody model. This means shares purchased through IG will be held by Citi as the legal owner, with IG as the beneficial owner, and the client as the ultimate beneficial owner. Therefore we do not have direct access to voting and such documentation.

We do need to raise a request on our end to provide you with these services.

I will forward your feedback to the relevant department to be reviewed.

    Thank you - Arvin

Hi Arvin, I'm not sure this fully relates to what you posted but here goes.

I received a dividend from PPK group on 29/06/22 only to have it taken back on 04/07/22, why was that?

    Hi @Blunders,

Thank you for your message. It seems that a credit of AUD 7.02 , the corporate action team was advised that the company cancelled the dividend, therefore that amount was debited.

I hope that it helps !
