  1. Once the U.S. passes its stimulus package perhaps this impasse will be resolved 🤔
  2. I believe you are correct and also, active trading won't make big money in the short-term but it will beat the 2% or less that savings accounts will net you. As to whether it beats buying an S&P 500 ETF and doing nothing, that remains to be seen
  3. What do you think Josephine, will the dollar make a higher high on the back of this bounce?
  4. Big USD and CAD related data today 🤓
  5. What made you come to IG? They have the lowest fees? It's interesting that you want a stop loss system for trading shares. I've never encountered a serious investor use stop losses for trading in shares. Are you sure you don't want to be a spread bettor instead lol?
  6. Big Pharma has been doing it for decades Americans have been letting themselves get ripped off by expensive meds and medical procedures for decades too. Strangely, the MSM seems to have a long-standing bias that favours big-money interests? It's almost like the country is ruled by a small number of very wealthy people?
  7. Big money pharma doesn't want people to use something that's too old to patent, I definitely agree. Bill Gates / Fauci / vaccination money makes sense. Incidentally do you also believe in healthcare for all as a human right, or do you 'private beliefs' make a reappearance at that stage?
  8. RSI is useful with its default setting (14) on daily charts. MACD with its defaults is useful in any time frame.
  9. 100 trades on US 30, between 11 January and 16 November 2018. Hourly timeframe. 1:2 risk/reward Only 44% win rate, but a gain of 5606.8 points. Hmm. Let us keep testing through the rest of 2018 and into 2019 and 2020 using this method, Tom Bombadil 🤓
  10. Well Tom, I'm still backtesting and refining this strategy. I don't like that the win rate is under 50%. Rather leaves me at the mercy of fate with little margin for error. Need to make some tweaks. 🤔 Oh, if only I was clever enough to write a profitable algorithm
  11. Are you jackanapes still long 🙃
  12. I reckon it's got a wee bit to fall yet, Cleopatra 🤡
  13. Daily Commodities Interest for 1 day Natural Gas £4.17 That's a lot of interest on a £1 per point position. Wonder if you get £4.17 a day for every £1 you go short on gas? *parp!* What's that smell, Simone?
  14. Well now Tamsin, will $45 hold and if so will it go on and have a stab at $49 😘
  15. Sorry to go on. Just wanted to add one more thing. You provide PRT access at a £30 per month value for free if we trade a certain number of times. How much would it cost for you to provide access to TradingView.com (link your APIs and whatever to their platform so we can use it to trade with IG), and if it's a similar price to PRT could I please get TradingView instead? PRT is clunky, old-fashioned, missing many useful features and French.
  16. IG, please can you add the option to remove Saturday and Sunday candles from MA and Pivot Point calculations. This has been asked for for f*king ages. Just recently someone added four hour calculations to the Pivot Points, have no idea who requested this but it's not as important as getting rid of weekend candles f*king up Monday's data.
  17. Maybe you can set up a Limited Company in the UK as use the registered office as the address?
  18. IG web platform defaults to 5 3 3 which I have not seen anywhere else. (TradingView defaults to 14 3 3 which is what I thought was standard) Some of the IG analysts use 14 3 5 which baffles me entirely. Stochastic RSI also baffles me (what is the point?) Any thoughts are welcome. (My thought is that 5 3 3 is potentially useful for getting signals more frequently; in which case why would someone invent something like Stochastic RSI? The idea being that RSI doesn't generate signals frequently enough, which is actually an advantage for the RSI which is better used on daily time frames and when it does give a signal it is more meaningful. But if you want more signals why not just use a faster stochastic?)
  19. DAX gives a sell signal again.
