Unable to get VIX prices via API

Hello

I get the response 'unauthorised.access.to.equity.exception' when requesting historical prices for the VIX via both API and API Companion. The epic is CC.D.VIX.USS.IP. other share and indices work fine. Anyone can help please?

Thanks for reaching out, 

Our IT team have confirmed that this is an expected error. The following product prices are not available on our web API due to some exchange restrictions: 

• China A50 Index
• Singapore Blue Chip Index
• India 50 Index
• Volatility Index

I am seeing the same with my software.

It was working fine recently but now I can't retrieve live nor historical prices for the VIX.

Can somebody at IG investigate please?
