When will IG add 2 factor identification ?

This is now the standard for a lot of platforms out there. I'm keen on investing more but I don't feel safe having my money stored without this feature enabled.

 

Are there any plans to implement this ?

I have now downloaded the app and tried generating a QR code on 3 different browser but nothing happens. Is this working as intended ?

Hi - thanks for your message. We are currently experiencing issues with the online dealing platform, however we are looking at getting this resolved as soon as possible - it is our highest priority. This will have an effect on the 2FA login.

 

Please have a look at http://status.ig.com/ to keep up to date, however as soon as I hear that the issues are resolved I will be sure to let you know.

Hi - sorry that you're having issues. Let me liaise with our technical support and dev teams and see if anyone else is experiencing the same issues. As far as I'm aware nothing else has been reported, but give me a couple of hours and I'll hopefully have an answer for you.

Hi - sorry for the delay. I have been informed by our tech support team that there is a known issue if you are setting up a new 2FA login. anyone who has an existing 2FA login shouldn't have a problem, however generating new QR's seems to be where the issue lies. We are working on it, and as soon as we have a resolution I will try and let you know.

I've tried over the last couple of days to set up 2FA in Firefox, IE and Edge. None of them will display the required QR code.

 

As a minor aside, the instructions say to click the green button, which is blue.

Hello James - this still appears to be an issue, the QR code wont generate for me either - can you please resolve asap.
