Charts not working in old platform - flash error

Guest Gaby

Question

Adobe ended the support of Flash Player on December 31, 2020; that means the software should be removed by client's computer to avoid security problems.

Without Flash charts don't work anymore (old Platform): is there a date when IG plan to resolve this issue?

I am not interested to use the new IG platform.

Thanks, Gaby

Hey,

I've requested our technical team to take a look at this and get back to me.

All the best

You have to be kidding that this question has not been answered! I have run into a problem today where the charts that were working after flash ceased are no longer working & the platform is calling for the installation of Flash, which can't be done because it doesn't exist.

Same problem as "Thinker" above. Charts were working last week. Pop out charts no longer working (asks for Flash installation). Tried on Chrome and Edge, same issue. Is a fix in progress? Thks.

Our technical team are advising me that this shouldn't impact the old platform charts and to use the new platform however if you want to stay on the old platform and are having chart issues please email them and let them know at chartsupport@marketdatasystems.com.

I have relayed this forum but if you want immediate help please contact them.

Update on this: I spoke to the technical team again as they were going to call the impacted clients but instead have raised a request so they now have a note on this and are looking to resolve it.

Thanks for your patience with this one.

Come on! This seriously needs to be attended to. It is just not good enough.

It is not a matter of "calling the impacted clients". The guy I spoke to on Monday did not even know Flash had been discontinued in spite of it being notified on every computer in the WORLD for the last 6 or 8 months. And he was in technical support? Common... we need to be treated better than fools. Fix it, even if it means a re boot of the system ... do it at 8am Melbourne time when most markets are closed.

This is seriously causing major problems & is not good enough.

@JamesIG

That is a disgraceful response!

The new platform does not have the same functionality as the old.

It does not have DMA ffs.... seriously! You expect us to trade on a market without the market depth of bid & offer showing?

And if it was the intention for it to take over, why in god's name did you not even have the courtesy & business eficacy to tell us & why did the person @ IG lie to me on Monday when I spoke to him on the phone & he said that it was a platform error that occurred on the weekend & I am sitting here waiting for it to be rectified. You had the charts operational and clearly & deliberately stopped them without telling us (your customers) in what appears to be a deliberate misleading & deceptive means of forcing us on to the new incomplete platform!

Just return the old platform to an operational basis as it is not fit for the purposes.

IG has committed offences under the Competition & Consumer Act by engaging in misleading & deceptive conduct!

you may have missed the date of that post, would be interested to know how tech plan to run the old platform (if they intend to) without Flash, not sure it's possible.

An incident has been made to get this resolved for all client who still wish to use the old platform.

    • Memecoins particularly on Solana and Ton ecosystem have kept the market buzzing for a significant part of the year as traders continue to tilt towards gaining instant and massive gains from trading memecoins against the long term gains they could amass from sustainable projects with real life applications. Interestingly the opportunities this exciting market niche holds keep rolling in with exchanges doing their bit to make it worthwhile for the passionate meme traders. So if you trade top memes like DOGE, PEPE, NEIROCTO, TURBO, WIF, SHIB, and GOAT, Bitget memecoin carnival could be of interest to you. The event slated to run from Nov 4 – Nov 18 2024 promises USDT rewards for meme traders who join, check in daily, and complete simple tasks. Evidently exchanges generate insane trading volumes from the buzzing memecoin community, rewarding meme traders through this event is a win for everyone.
    • Could it be the bustling ecosystem of multi-chain games that makes Arcadia unique? Someone recently tweete “One of the most anticipated games on the $Eth network, Legend of Arcadia, is set to launch its token, $ARCA, on various CEX exchanges” so I wonder if this strategic game could increase gameFi adoption. Legend of Arcadia is not just another card game but a strategic battleground where players collect, raise, and battle with toy-like humanoid creatures, reminiscent of the heroes from classic fantasy RPGs. The game draws inspiration from titles like Hero Wars and AFK Arena, offering a real-time battle system where strategy plays a pivotal role. When we look at other leading games in the Web3 space, like Axie Infinity or Gods Unchained, Legend of Arcadia holds its own by offering a more accessible entry point with its free-to-play model while still maintaining depth through strategic gameplay and economic incentives. It's a game that doesn't just cater to hardcore blockchain gamers but invites casual players into the fold, potentially broadening the appeal of blockchain gaming but why the recent traction to the project? Is obvious to see hype, expectations and speculation toward a project as it approaches listing date. I wonder if this is responsible for the recent traction toward Legend of Arcadia but with poolx and candybomb on Bitget and some exchange that have announced listing, we should expect more exposure for this project
