  1. lol trading futures avoids the overnight charges but it is hardly trading without leverage.
  2. It certainly doesn't look like an attractive short at this point.
  3. I doubt any company could get away with doing that under FCA regulations. Could be wrong...
  4. Yes, but it's also clunky (IMHO), overly complicated, very outdated design (from the 1990s) and doesn't provide any tick volume. I do wish there was a single platform that combined all the best elements of PRT, Web etc.
  5. Not possible to the best of my knowledge. You might as well just buy and sell shares/ETFs.
  6. Well I only just got it myself, had a quick flick through the section on TA and he isn't a fan. Will need to see what the rest of the book contains, and what he recommends instead
  7. @Caseynotes Have you read Burton Malkiel's 'A random walk down Wall Street'? Any thoughts on it?
  8. Flip a coin - heads long, tails short. Hope this helps!
  9. Investors Chronicle devotes a small daily article to TA, I am tempted to subscribe for the insights into businesses and perhaps translating that into SB on shares. But there's already a lot of free info available.
  10. Ah yes, chaos in the Middle East. The perfect antidote to falling oil prices Seriously - the civilized world needs to become energy independent as a matter of urgency. The sooner we no longer have to rely on Middle Eastern oil for our prosperity the better.
  11. Silver broke through 1780 and is heading south!
  12. I'm trying to get on with Python. The syntax in PRT isn't complicated but there's so much to learn.
  13. What time were you awake? The 'clear sign' of a downward move were between 07:00 - 07:30. Oh hindsight, how I adore thee!
  14. That's a very impressive achievement, wish I had those skills
  15. Seems like this is related to share buybacks, like with Anglo American.
  16. If it gets to 17500 I will try for 18000😺
  17. Definitely on a comeback, look at the spike in volume on the gap higher.

    Ocado

Ocado reports on Tuesday. I should have kept my long from Thursday 20 June, where there was a hammer. It's never gone lower than that point since and it's just going up and up.
  19. Got my eye on JD Wetherspoon tomorrow, they report earnings!
  20. I managed to not lose money ... that's an improvement
  21. @nit2wynit I've been getting 'market level has changed' errors when trying to trade Apple right now, which persists even after refreshing my browser, IG's platform is starting to become a real concern and I hope they put money and effort into fixing it ASAP.
  22. Might be getting some movement on this (on the back of news that 2300 people are losing their jobs)
