This is now the 8th day of a Negative Balance and I cannot Sell or Buy shares. It seems there are others now reporting the same issue on here with little to no feedback other than a Glitch in IT. We really need some update to this issue @AshishIG. Can you help at all? Thank you.

Hi, I've had this happen too, last Tuesday and i am still awaiting a resolution, however they are in contact using email helpdesk, but no timeframe. They did tell me i was not the only one and today i notice you have an issue too. This is now my 8th day and i have a Negative Balance meaning that if I close a position it will simply go to my Negative balance and i won't be able to Buy. It's shocking to say the least that it happened but also the time passing to resolve.

Hi, I've been using IG since 2018. One of the problems I have is that at times while researching a stock and it's chart, where I can take up to 10 mins before placing a position in Spread Betting only for a message to pop up 'Closing Only'. Is there no way for this info to be readily available on screen so as not to waste any more time researching? Thank you.

For anyone interested, it turns out that IG had somehow placed my order to buy shares twice. They have no idea how it happened and as of now they have still not rectified it. The only answer I am getting is 'they are working on it'. In the meantime my account is negative and I can't trade. It has now been 6 days.

Thanks for the input, The issue is being resolved. IG took a position Twice. Remedy is imminent.

...............to make my question a little clearer. Yesterday i had around £800 to deal. I bought 2 stocks with the full account value leaving around £2 Available to Deal. While there was a considerable amount Unsettled Credit and Debit which is not uncommon as i trade many times daily, I bought the stocks with no issue. Shortly after, my Available to Deal showed as -£495 instead of £2, Funds showed as -£495 and my account value showed as £320. even though my stocks choices were only down less than £5 each.

Hi @CharlotteIG can you please advise me on this matter? I have been trading with IG since 2018. I have NEVER had an issue with Trading several times per day using my full account value. As an example, if my total account value was £1000, I have been able without issue to trade in and out within minutes and never had an issue of Unsettled Credit or Debit which has not allowed to me to trade any further. Nor have I ever seen a Negative Balance in either Funds Available or Available to Deal. Yesterday 17th April, I had available over £800 to Trade (total account value £1072). I bought 2 stocks using the full account value leaving around £2 Available to Deal. I then went to the shop. I soon noticed on my App that I was -£495, and my account value was around £320, even though my PL was only under £150. (these figures are approx). Yesterday i sold half of one of my position, and I am still -$168 with £350 Unsettled credit. I have never experienced this before. While I have contacted Helpdesk a simple reply of 'Unsettled Credit' was the answer. What has changed? I feel something is really wrong here. Thanks.

Forgive me for adding here as I may not be able to help, but I'd like to comment on your screen shot you've provided. If your Stop is only 2 pips below your 'Buy in' and is -£11, then how have you calculated it is up 48pips when the distance between the current level and the Stop is almost the same? your chart is also showing the ASK price

H, i've reached out on chat but now answer yet and referred to Middle Office which is now closed. Never seen this before and I've been trading since 2018, many times per day each day. My account value has more than halved while I've been out for an hour. Available to Deal is -£500, Funds -£500, but Book price is £950 and I only have 2 shares placed earlier today. Market Value is around 840 and PL is under £120. I shold have a small amount To Deal to, which is showing zero. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. very concerning to say the least.

Ah sorry, maybe my mistake. I've never noticed the Expiry option Day all Sessions. I'll try that in future. Thanks again.

Same here. Cold be IG or more than likely The Exchange is glitching again on small caps stocks. Happened a couple times this year already.

Thank you for your swift reply @AshishIG I'm not sure I follow the Limit Order example. My position was already open at 0.73, but dropped to 0.25 and had been there for several days before It was closed automatically. With the position so close to 0, my plan was to leave it to fail. The Spread on this is very small and was nowhere near 0 at the time of closing. I have another position open now at 0.24. Can I expect this to close prematurely if it drops to far? I have no Stop in place on this trade either. Thank you.
