  1. Thanks for your reply - I believe there may have been some confusion on the specifics of this query. To clarify, CFD and Spread Betting: Partial fills are possible on SETSqx stock. Share dealing: Partial fills are not possible on SETSqx stock and this isn't available on the deal ticket. There are other reason an order maybe rejected, however this would require a more in depth discussion on a case by case basis. As an example if there is a large market movement or volatility and you are requesting partial fills, but the price has already moved, you're still going to be rejected. It would be best to call in this instance. In this instance it's better to use different deal conditions (such as market order or points through current).
  2. Hi - if you are on a CFD or spread betting account you can use the advanced dealing options to get partial fills on MM and SETSqx stock. If you are dealing on a regular share dealing account or equivalent then these options wouldn't be available as you can only deal in your full size via the 'RSP' or 'Get Quote' functionality. I hope this clarifies things for you.
  3. Hi thanks for the feedback regarding Android Wear. There isn't anything specifically on our road map at present based on lack of client demand, however I will make sure I pass this onto our mobile dev team.
  4. - thanks for your message and attached images showing the alert you received for a closed market. I shall make sure to pass this onto our developers and I've opened an incident with our iOS, Android and mobile team to look into this. I'm sorry that you're not happy with the in depth replies and reasons behind why some markets will be closing only, why we don't offer Greek stocks, and how we price and hedge our markets. From your post I understand that you don't agree with these reasons, and some wider principles regarding IG's business model, but in this instance you are categorically incorrect. Our trading services help and support team are not just customer service focused, but also have an in depth knowledge of the financial markets and are very knowledgeable about the business in general. Our aim is not only to assist in trading, education, and customer support issues, but also assist in any query a client may have about the wider business and deal execution. I would strongly recommend having a look at the video below and if you still have queries please call our help desk and ask to speak to one of our Senior Sales traders who will be able to take some time to talk you though it one one one. I am locking this thread because the topic of conversation has deviated from the original query. If you, anyone in this thread, or any new IG Community member would like to open a new thread to further discuss any specific point touched on above, please feel free to do so.
  5. Filling in your deal ticket If you want to trade now you can select the ‘Deal’ tab, fill in your size, and select one of the following: Current price or better: This default trade option will open your position at the current price or better if the market moves in your favour. Points through current: This gives you more control of your execution by allowing you to trade through the current price, up to certain tolerance as defined in your deal ticket. This is useful in reducing order rejection in a volatile or illiquid market, or if you trade in larger size. Market order: If you want to increase the likelihood of being filled, irrespective of price, you can select Market Order. To increase the chance of successful execution, the IG deal ticket will default to accept partial fills. If you use this feature, IG will only partially fill a trade as an alternative to outright rejection, and you will never be partially filled if an entire fill is possible. We also offer a range of stops and limits so you can exit your open position at specific price levels. These include trailing stops which will follow your trade if the market moves in your favour, and guaranteed stops that will always be filled at the exact level you select (even if the market gaps over the level you selected). Regular stops are available too. If you want to trade when the market gets to a certain level, use the order tab: A stop order, once triggered, will be filled at the prevailing market price, however this could be a less favorable level than you selected. A limit order will give you control over your entry point, but your entry level must be placed at a more favorable level than the current market. Once triggered your entry level will always be the price you selected or better.
  6. Hi - sorry for the delay. I have been informed by our tech support team that there is a known issue if you are setting up a new 2FA login. anyone who has an existing 2FA login shouldn't have a problem, however generating new QR's seems to be where the issue lies. We are working on it, and as soon as we have a resolution I will try and let you know.

  8. I used to trade equity markets and had an interest in technology and the financial sector. After coming to IG a number of years ago I started to trade oil and some other ETF trackers which give exposure to the commodity market. I also have an interest in cryptocurrencies for the underlying technology rather than the price action, so feel free to direct any questions this way. I make my decisions of fundamental news articles and macro economic events. I certainly believe technical analysis has a place, and have range traded some commodities in the past. My goal with the Community is to be here to help educate IG clients and support trade discussion. Every person who has an IG account has an opinion on market direction, or a political or economic opinion. I'm interested in these views and believe discussion and debate is important within all aspects of finance.
  9. Hi - Welcome to IG Community The IG Community forum has been created to provide clients with a space to share trade ideas and market opportunities, as well as discover and discuss new IG products and features. Chat about fundamental or technical analysis, market movers or macro data releases, and help shape IG's futures by giving feedback and suggestions. The strength of the IG Community comes from its members, who in turn are supported by an IG moderator team who answer any questions you may have which need a bit of staff input. If you've never posted in the Community before take this opportunity to answer the questions below and let us know what you like you trade. In doing so you'll receive your first Community Badge, the'1st Post' badge as shown to the right. Take the time to look through some other peoples answers and maybe 'Like' a reply - someone may do the same to you and you'll receive your second badge. Questions Let the Community know something about your trade history. Have you ever traded before? If so, what did you trade? What are you interested in and do you have any trade ideas for the future? If not, what markets are you interested in? Commodities, FX, shares? How do you make your trade decisions? Fundamental or technical analysis? What do you want to get out of IG Community? 10. Hi - sorry that you're having issues. Let me liaise with our technical support and dev teams and see if anyone else is experiencing the same issues. As far as I'm aware nothing else has been reported, but give me a couple of hours and I'll hopefully have an answer for you.
  11. Hi - thanks for your message. We are currently experiencing issues with the online dealing platform, however we are looking at getting this resolved as soon as possible - it is our highest priority. This will have an effect on the 2FA login. Please have a look at http://status.ig.com/ to keep up to date, however as soon as I hear that the issues are resolved I will be sure to let you know.
  12. Hi thanks for your question. We have a 2FA system in place. Please check the following link and let me know if you have any further questions : https://www.ig.com/uk/two-factor-authentication iOS link (or visit store directly) Andriod Google Play (or visit store directly) Microsoft (unsupported - or visit store directly)
  13. Hi , thanks for your message. Currently we have no plans on adding Ninja Trader functionality, however I have passed this on to our technical support manager as feedback. We periodically collate all feedback, and if there is sufficient client demand then we do of course seriously review such suggestions. However, given a number of things in the IG road map I don't believe that there will be N.T. integration in the short to mid term. I would recommend having a good look at the MT4 and ProRealTime offering as there are a number of third party plugins. MT4 specifically supports millions of traders globally, and their 'Market' is a centralized location where you can expand the software with additional expert advisors and technical indicators. Don't forget that both MT4 and PRT have some great mobile applications which can be used to add flexibility in your trading timetable, and opportunity whilst out and about.
  14. Hi , thanks for your question. Trading Hong Kong shares is currently only available on the leveraged CFD and Spread Betting platforms. You can review the commission for CFD and spread betting spreads at those respective links. As noted you can either use the company name or ticker code to bring up the stock in the platform, however if you can't find it please let us know and we can see if it's possible to add. We require all new stock requests on a case by case basis depending on liquidity, market cap and free float levels, as well as other factors such as price action and historical market movement. Trading physical Hong Kong stock on our Stockbroking or ISA accounts isn't currently possible, however I will note this as feedback. Currently we have the following markets on the non-leveraged side of things: UK: FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and many other small cap UK stocks US: S&P 500, NASDAQ 100 and many other small cap US stocks Germany: DAX, HDAX, MDAX Ireland: ISEQ Netherlands: AEX Belgium: BEL 20 Austria: ATX, WBI Australia: ASX/S&P 300
