  1. Hi @Noodl321 The rejections were because the order was too small to set the new touch price. That would mean the order was too small to be the lowest offer on the exchange. I see that you have found success trading at quote which would have been my next suggestion. All the best Anda
  2. Hi @DoctorCoward The best way to get API support is to reach out to webapisupport@ig.com. All the best Anda
  3. Hi @Gertrude Thank you for the query, You would need to be cognizant of the spread or the commission charged in a particular trade. Two equivalent bet sizes should bring about the same running profit for an equivalent point movement, however there would be differences in the charges. Please refer to the below links. One will give you the differences between demo and live trading, the other will provide you with our live account charges. 4. Hi @LTownly Thanks for the question You would not need to use force open if you were opening multiple positions in the same direction. The platform would keep them separate as each would have its own opening level. The platform will net off positions by default. So you would need to use force open if you were taking a trade in the opposing direction to what you already hold, and you wanted the position to remain separate instead of closing what you already hold. All the best Anda
  5. Hi @RFSmithers We are actively investigating MT5 and the value it can deliver to our clients. We are looking at this very closely however we do have to prioritize the client experience on MT4. This means it may take some time before MT5 is available. The working parts that would exist between IG and MT5 are quite a task to work to and so it is likely it will be at least another year before we will see MT5. We do appreciate that is some time away, however the expression 'Measure twice, cut once' is very pertinent to what we are looking to achieve. Kind Regards Anda
  6. Hi @twu1234 We have no reported issues with alert sounds. Please click on settings and ensure that the alert sound effect is switched on as is illustrated in the below screenshot. If this has not resolved the issue please contact helpdesk.uk@ig.com as it may be something that our IT team can look at. All the best Anda
  7. Hi @Munza CHESS Participant Identification Number (PID) 20018. Regards Anda
  8. Hi @Torre Thanks for the question Please note that this ETF is open to retail traders. You can trade it on a share dealing account or a leveraged account. It is not ISA eligible. If you do not have a Mifid score you may get the rejection stating it is a complex instrument. In that case you simply need to call the helpdesk and go through the appropriateness questionnaire to determine suitability. All the best Anda
  9. Hi Kudat Search for the share that you are holding, then click on it. From the deal ticket click on Sell. Then add the quantity of shares that you hold. Then order type would be stop, stop level is the price you want to sell at, expiry is good till cancelled. Deal ticket looks like the below screenshot but sell would be highlighted red. All the best Anda
  10. Hi @Kudat Thanks for the question Please note that the stop loss feature is an OTC product and is thus unavailable to share dealing accounts, where orders go directly through the exchange. You can however place a Stop order GTC to sell at your desired price. I hope this helps! Kind regards Anda
  11. Hi @Michael053 Unfortunately our platform does not have the functionality to place an indicator alert on the parabolic SAR. We are happy to pass this as feedback to our developers. Many thanks Anda
  12. Hi @PriorCleeve Thank you for the question Please note that All Active Asset Capital has delisted. As you hold the shares in a Share Dealing account they will remain on your account up to a point when they are either deemed worthless or a shareholder settlement is received by our broker. The shares cannot be removed until this is replicated from our broker and we match their bookings accordingly. I hope this helps Regards Anda
  13. Hi @TraderGT1 Thank you for the question On the 1 hour time frame 150.835 is the low for the next hour. i.e after your stop had already been executed. If you go to the previous candle you will see that the low is 150.900 as you would expect. Hope this clears it up Regards Anda Below shows the relevant candle as well as the one post trade execution
  14. Hi @TraderGT1 Thank you for the question When closing a long position you need to sell to close. Therefore your position would be closed basis the bid price. You can switch to the bid price by right clicking on the chart, then selecting price, then bid. If you change to the bid price you will see that your position was closed basis your stop level which you had set at a price of 150.910. The low on that candle is 150.900 which would have triggered your stop accordingly. I have attached a screenshot to illustrate the above. Kind regards Anda
  15. Hi @billywong0817 Please note that the helpdesk has sent you an email regarding the closure of your offshore IG account on the 17th of August 2021. Please refer to the instructions therein. Regards Anda
  16. Hi @Sam252 Yes that is correct, and apologies for the lack of clarity that you received earlier. Regards Anda
  17. Hi @Sam252 Our model continuously values the FTSE100 weekly options. The model will use Friday at 16:35pm as the time at which the rate of decline will come to an end. This coincides with the time settlement is released officially which occurs after a 5min auction period. Regards Anda
  18. Hi @stuart775 A stop loss is an OTC product thus it is not available on the ISA/share dealing account where orders go directly through to the exchange. The closest work around is to place a working order to sell at your preferred stop level. This order would need to have a good till cancelled expiry(GTC). I hope this helps! Regards Anda
  19. Hi @BillyWhizz The next dividend is only forecasted to be declared in early September. If you use the previous dividend as an illustration. 0.0813 x 280 shares = GBP19.34 dividend payment. Thus GBP19.34 would have been credited to your account. Hope this helps. Thanks Anda
  20. Hi @Ben_O Would you please send a technical report on PRT through the help center, one of our IT team members should be able to assist you. You can access the help center from the help button on the main toolbar. All the best Anda
  21. Hi @Darrenm Thanks for the question. If you are referring to the SA equity charts, they are not updating because the JSE has not as yet opened for trading today. There is a delayed opening because of an issue at their end. Thanks Anda
  22. Hi @ben_fu Thanks for the question You simply need to install MT4 again in a different location. Please see the below steps: Download MT4 setup file from the following link and run it: http://www.ig.com/content/dam/publicsites/igcom/mt4/ig4setup.exe Tick to agree with terms > Settings: Browse > Expand Desktop* > Make New Folder and name e.g. 'IG MT4 2' > OK > Rename Program group e.g. 'IG MetaTrader 4 Terminal 2' > Next: Finish: I have added some screenshots below which should help. All the best Anda
