  8. Dear @Tancredi, No problem! You can always contact us for assistance with navigating the new platform. 9. Dear @JR1, Welcome to the IG community and thank you for your post. Please be informed that you placed a stop order to open and the market was closed when you placed the trade and you were filled when the market opened. A stop order, sometimes called a stop-entry order, is an instruction to your trading broker to open a trade when the market level reaches a worse, predetermined price. If you’re buying, ‘worse’ means a higher price but if you’re selling, it means a lower price. Thank, KoketsoIG
  10. Hi @Tancredi, Thank you for your post. To access the available futures, simply click on the market at the top of the chart and select "Future." Here's a screenshot for reference. Once you have selected the appropriate future, the deal ticket will be for the selected future. Thanks, KoketsoIG
  11. Asian markets struggled on Wednesday as expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts later this year were pared back. This follows a strong U.S. jobs report and higher-than-expected inflation data. Market pricing for 2024 Fed rate cuts has fallen from around 160 basis points at end-2022 to just under 90 bps now. This is impacting other central banks globally. Traders now expect just one rate cut from the RBA this year instead of two previously. Higher U.S. rates will likely limit emerging market central banks' scope to ease policy. Japanese stocks like the Nikkei are nearing 1989 highs as the yen weakens past 150 per dollar. But Japanese authorities have stepped up warnings against rapid, speculative yen moves. UK inflation held steady on an annual basis in January, at 4%, but shrank by 0.6% between December and January, a bigger-than-expected fall.

  21. Dear @Sergio78, Thank you for reaching out. Please note that as a professional trader, you can enjoy higher leverage and lower margins. This is because professional traders are not subject to ESMA leverage caps that are in place to protect retail clients. To qualify as a professional trader, you need to meet two of the following requirements: 1. Have traded leverage derivatives in significant sizes over the last four quarters? 2. Have a financial instrument portfolio exceeding €500k? 3. Have worked in the financial sector, in a professional position requiring knowledge of derivatives trading, for at least a year. For more details, you can visit our website here: https://www.ig.com/uk/professional. Let us know if you have any other questions! Thanks, KoketsoIG
  22. Dear @Bazza007, Welcome to the IG community. Please note that I have sent you details via DM. All the best, KoketsoIG
  23. Hello! @Cocoeuro, Thank you for reaching out to IG. Just to clarify, for the U.S., you won't need an API key to connect to the U.S. API. IG US has a separate web and FIX API. 25. Asia-Pacific stocks traded modestly lower on Monday, as many regional markets were closed for the Lunar New Year holiday period. News flow was limited over the weekend. European Central Bank Governing Council member Fabio Panetta stated that the ECB is nearing the point where it will need to shift to a less accommodative monetary policy stance. Futures point to a slightly higher open for European equities on Monday, with EuroStoxx 50 futures up 0.3%. US futures also point to a quiet start to an uneventful day. The Fed's Kashkari will speak this evening, but as a non-voter, his comments will carry relatively less weight. This week's main event will be US inflation data on Tuesday.
