Looking to climb higher though may see a check of support first. The big problem for indices this week is the Fed rate decision Wednesday next week, the expectation is for a rate cut but will they really do that if the indices are making new highs, or to put it another way is the expectation of a cut enough to push into ATH's. H1 charts;

The charts remain bullish to start the week, focus will be increasingly drawn to the will they/won't they Fed rate decision next week (Wed 18th). With the all time high just ahead for the Dow may see a pause candle today in contemplation but the recent trend is clearly up with moderate resistance next at 27060.

Hi, I've been with IG a long time and the outage on Thursday was by far the worst I've seen but previous problems where accounts have been affected have usually been settled quickly by IG to the satisfaction of those concerned (at least those who have spoken up on the forum anyway).

Hi, pretty sure the platform can't do that, I think your only option is duplicate charts side by side with one on each or switch to mt4. -

Hi, not sure from your post the direction of your trade or the time frame you are working on, from the daily chart short term the SA40 is on a bullish run but has just run into previous support turned resistance and so is at a decisive juncture and looks like putting in a pause candle for the day. Difficult to call but if Dow can continue upward next week it's probable SA40 will too.

funds withdrawal issue

Hi, I did withdraw funds late Thursday afternoon with no problem though I had no trades that were caught up in the outage earlier in the day, from other forum users it appears IG are working through a backlog of resetting of client accounts, hopefully that won't take too long. -
Hi, am presuming you are meaning the upgrade to the share dealing platform rather than the cfd which has already been upgraded, there was news earlier this week that the conversion to html5 for the share dealing platform should be rolled out very early 2020.

stay tuned, still digesting, there is an awful lot of data in the report so not unusual to be a mixed bag, the headline number was down but the average hourly earnings was a beat 0.4% when 0.3 expected, still no real move in either direction in Dow yet.

Traders taking the Dow right up to yesterday's high before the NFP is very bullish, numbers out in 15 min.

I didn't spot this one this morning, High Impact Fed's Powell speaking today at 5:30, It's in Zurich and is on Economic Outlook and Mon Pol, Powell has quickly gained a reputation as a being a terrible speaker but even worse at trying to answer questions as he will be doing here, this could well move the market.

ok, yes I've never tried to link it to IG before. Though there are a lot of different lists of affiliated brokers IG does not seem to be on any of them so IG can't have signed up for the service, maybe someone from IG can confirm that on here or you could sent a query email but I suspect they are just not there. -

I note the watchlist boards have gone live again just now so still some problems after yesterday's outage, you should be able to make changes from the positions tab (see pic below). keep watch on the status page https://status.ig.com/ try the live chat or message tab from the 'contact us' page https://www.ig.com/uk/contact-us otherwise keep on the phone.

Some really filthy chop on the Dax yesterday just couldn't make it's mind while Dow just cruised on ahead, could be concern on UK leaving on a no-deal and/or over EU GDP figures today at 10am q/q 0.2%, y/y 1.1% expected but might be optimistic. Both starting over the pivot this morning so after a test of support will be looking for resistance targets above then all stop for the US NFP at 1:30pm.

Dow has broken the recent range and will be looking for a directional continuation candle today with Dax following, Ftse hampered by Brexit/new elections uncertainty doesn't look to be going anywhere.

The watchlist boards while correct on opening don't seem to be updating in real time. Continuing risk on, Indices up Bonds down, Crypto up Comms down, Chart BTC. High impact today is EU GDP at 10am and US NFP at 1:30pm, yesterday's ADP nfp was a big beat at near 50k over expectations.

Hi, you might need to download again from IG if the version you are using is not 1170 or above (check mt4 'Help' > 'About') or go to 'File' > 'Open an Account' and check you have the data feeds from IG, if not click 'add a broker' and use the IG address in the pic below (IG Group 443). If you have forgotten your password you will need to contact IG by email for a new one.

accuracy to the underlying isn't the whole story, all brokers are trying to offer the best prices from the liquidity providers, you can only trade this through a broker, but which broker gives better security, lower spreads, better prices etc, IG are a heavy weight in the industry, you seem to have already chose them (so have I).

The price is not exactly the same because Tradingview use the broker Oanda's prices for their currency charts while IG use their own, the charts are not exactly the same because Oanda use the 5 day week while IG opens on Sunday so have 6 day candles per week. But both Oanda and IG's prices are both based on the underlying market so should be very similar.

Hi, IG should send 2 emails not too far apart, one with the mt4 account number which is also the login name and one with the password.
