Hi - I believe you have been in contact with IG directly. Please continue the conversation via email or phone so that we can answer your account specific questions directly.

Mar and Apr will follow their respective Mar19 and Apr19 contracts. The DFB will be priced using our standard undated commodities method, and as a result will not attempt to mirror the cash VIX.
The price will be between the two front month futures contracts, as with all our other undated commodities, and will allow continuous charting with no expiry or rollovers.
As an example

Thanks. But I'm referring to standard buying of shares not on margin - I'd just like to be clear that the book cost does not include the dealing commission or any other fees?
you're correct - it doesn't include trading costs, tax etc on a trade. It is purely number of shares purchased x average cost of share.

Please make sure you have the latest application available here

We've had clients say 'its one of the best interviews available on Versarien' they've seen. What are your thoughts? A number of clients shared their questions with IG prior to the interview (outside of Community) which we've managed to put to the CEO so I thought I would post this here - as well as within MyIG.

Unfortunately we do not offer that particular exchange on our Share Dealing account and there is insufficient client demand right now to look into adding it. Thanks for the inquiry.

Is the ETF UCITS eligible (i.e. meaning it can be traded in an ISA)?
You can find that out here https://etfscreener.ig.com I imagine it won't be, in which case you'd have to trade that in a regular share dealing account.

Sorry all - yes these are due to the scheduled weekend maintenance. Apologies but they should have been cleared.

Hi all - we have a Brexit round table today (Friday 8th Feb) which unfortunately won't be live, but we will be able to publish the video afterwards. This will be with Simon French from Panmure Gordon, and Robert Oulds from Bruges Group. It should be a great discussion, and if you have any questions you wanted to put to the panel please add a comment and make sure to tag me with the @ symbol.

thanks all - feeding back to UX and charting teams as always

Thanks for all the suggestions so far - please keep them coming.

Thanks casey - when it comes to this part...

are you referring to this?
I'm a bit fan of visual imagery and quite like the historical data like this.
Or maybe things like suggested markets it's likely to effect? Increased Alert functionality and granularity? New delivery methods? There are likely a number of options.
- I like the added description and educational stuff.
- I want to get non-data driven points into the calendar as well... things like minutes, rather than just data points like NFP.

Hi all - interesting that you bring this up actually and I'd love the Community input.
We are looking at bringing the Economic Calendar into the dealing platform and improving things such as alerts and automatic notifications. Now is your chance to have your say and help build out functions within the dealing platform.
- I have my personal opinions, but what exactly would YOU like to see in the calendar?
- What functions do you use on other websites?
- What are your 'blue sky thinking' wish list items to have on the calendar?

Hi - unfortunately the indicator alerts functionality is not in the apps. I will be make sure to pass this request on to the appropriate teams.
-
unfortunately we do not offer a demo share dealing account. You can however open a share dealing account and there is no administrative fee to opening or maintaining the account with no funds in it, and there is no obligation to deposit. It may still be worth checking out.

Hi - thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to pass it on to the product owner for charts.

There should be a good-til-cancel (or GTC) limit order type where you can fill in a specific date.

Unfortunately if you have bough the London listing you can't simply transfer over to the JSE listing. This isn't an IG process, but rather a process related to the underlying exchange. You would have to sell the LSE listing and buy the JSE listing if you wanted to do that.

To back up TF's post ... you can use the indicator button, or right click on the charts.
Once selected you can then left click on the numbers to get the edit feature up.

JamesIG. I'm on the UK platform with a standard share dealing acccount. I too would like to have stop losses and trailing stops but I don't appear to have the option to choose this in the on exchange tab. Is this available in the UK or is it dependent on which stock I am trading?
trailing stops are not available on share dealing accounts, because they are not order types offered by the underlying exchanges.
What stock are you looking at specifically and I can see what options are available.

@Caseynotes @TrendFollower - strange... let me investigate why you can't see it.
-
thanks @TrendFollower - please also remember there is a 'report port' button which we can react to quicker. Thanks for the heads up.

You can indeed to this, however given we don't have the functionality to do so on the platform yet, you would need to give us a call. Once the trade is open you can monitor and see any running profit and loss online, however you would need to close to deal.
