Dear @tonybyrne, Thank you for reaching out and welcome to the IG community! Just to clarify, are you asking about collateral services? Please note that we do not offer collateral services on smart portfolio accounts. This service is for professional clients when they are trading on leveraged accounts (spread bets and CFDs). Working Orders taking up margin
KoketsoIG replied to keroppi's question in IG Trading Support - Dealing Questions
Dear @keroppi, Welcome to the IG community! We're glad to have you here. Unfortunately, the working order will take up margin. This ensures you have enough margin to keep the position open once it triggers. Thanks, KoketsoIG -
Dear @Rstarkey, Thank you for reaching out. Just a heads up, ISAs are not tax reportable, and we don't send out tax documents for them. If you have an existing IG account, head to the dashboard, click on 'add an account,' and choose ISA. Thanks, KoketsoIG

Dear @Rstarkey, Thank you for your post! Just a heads up, the cash from dividends is credited to your account on the payment date. Thanks, KoketsoIG

Dear @123abc, Thank you for reaching out. Here are some important points to consider: 1. The maximum notional for long positions is GBP 500,000 across all crypto positions. To calculate the size, you can use the formula 500,000 = 63,920.20x. Approximately, x = GBP 7.8 per point (based on the price at the time of calculation). 2. Please be aware that GBP 5 per point is below the calculated amount mentioned above. 3. If you would like to increase your maximum exposure, please contact us so we can check with the desk. Thanks, KoketsoIG

Additionally, the 'Week Ahead' weekly blog lists all upcoming events so that clients are aware. Thanks, KoketsoIG -

Collateral for Pro clients
KoketsoIG replied to gemtex's question in IG Trading Support - Dealing Questions
Dear @gemtex, Thank you for your post. Yes, please note that you can use up to 95% of the value of your IG share trading account as margin for leveraged trades. You can only use your shareholdings to cover the initial margin on your CFDs. Any running losses will need to be covered by the available cash in your margined account. Your shareholdings remain intact and retain their full value; you simply use a percentage of their worth as collateral to fund shorter-term trades. You'll need both an IG share trading account and a CFD account. Thanks, KoketsoIG -
