  2. Hey @Gabrial, Thanks for your post. Our Livechat system has been turned off. If your position was on a leveraged account you have to make sure you check the correct price. If you had a short position, when you close you have to check the Ask price. If you had a long position you have to check the Bid price. If you check this and you still believe the position was closed incorrectly please let me know the market, time and price. All the best
  3. What is a grey market in trading? By taking a position on a grey market, you’re taking a position on a company’s potential market cap ahead of its initial public offering (IPO). The price of a grey market is a prediction of what the company’s total market capitalisation will be at the end of its first trading day. If you think the estimated value of the company is over- or under-priced, a grey market enables you to take advantage of this disparity before the shares are released publicly on the stock exchange. Why are traders interested in grey market stocks? Traders are interested in grey market stocks because it can be a way of taking advantage of movements in the company’s share price before it has actually listed. Also, any activity is usually taken as an indicator for the direction the stock price will take once it has listed. The pre-market price can be used to gauge the demand for the shares. How to trade grey market stocks Grey market stocks are traded over-the-counter (OTC), which means that they are not offered by a stock exchange, but only by brokers and trading providers. By taking a position on a grey market stock, you’re taking a position on a company’s potential market capitalisation ahead of its IPO. If you think that the company will be worth more than the price indicated, you can buy the market. If you think that the price is an overvaluation, you can sell. When it comes to settling your trade, this can only be done once official trading of the share has begun. IG calculates the settlement price based on the official closing price of stock on after first day of trading, as reported by Bloomberg. https://www.ig.com/uk/shares/ipos/airbnb-ipo

There could also be some issues if you've recently added new bank/ paypal details. Alternatively, you may have over refunded your Paypal account. It would be best to reach out to our client team either via call or email. All the best
  6. You can find the details on this page: https://www.ig.com/uk/help-and-support/spread-betting-and-cfds/fees-and-charges/what-are-igs-commodities-cfd-product-details It doesn't show the spread because with the futures we take the underlying market and wrap our spread around it. With the cash/ spot markets we use this pricing: You can find example under this description on the page below: https://www.ig.com/uk/commodities
  7. If you email us from your registered email address and include your name, date of birth and address alongside your request to delete the share dealing account we will be happy to assist. The email address you need is helpdesk.uk@ig.com
  8. Thanks for your post. If you're looking to transfer shares from your share dealing to ISA account please let me know and I will find your email and pass it onto a member of the team that can deal with these queries. It'll cost £40 in commission per line of stock to sell the shares on share dealing account but free of charge to repurchase on the ISA. There will also be spread costs which is capped to roughly £30 per line of stock, however, this is generally cheaper for the majority of stocks. If this isn't something you want to pay you can sell the stock, wait for the funds to settle then transfer the funds and buy the stock back. (you do still have to pay commission on this and you have to be aware that in that time the market price can move). If you're referring to transferring stock in or out of IG let me know and I will get the query dealt with. Thanks
  9. Hey, If there are working orders on your account it will put money aside in case that order is executed. If you cannot see a working order on the account and this is an error please let us know by calling us. All the best

  11. The UK is officially in recession, and the slump in the first six months of the year is worse than most of its peers. However, the monthly data already shows that the worst is behind us for the economy. GDP numbers for June show a strong bounce in activity as the economy emerged from lockdown.
  12. 2 day old news alert but if you're holding it's something to be aware of for 31st August Find the full article here: Tesla stock split: What you need to know
  13. We do apologise for the error. Positions were not reflecting on the platform but this issues has now been resolved. Sorry again for any confusion caused.
  14. Thanks for your post. You can either sell the stock yourself wait for the funds to settle and buy the stock back but you run the risk of the price moving (however it could move in your favour). You can transfer shares from your share dealing account to ISA via the Bed & ISA process, which involves selling the shares and repurchase them on the ISA account. This process can be done over the phone with one of our dealers. It'll cost £40 in commission per line of stock to sell the shares on share dealing account but free of charge to repurchase on the ISA. There will also be spread costs which is capped to roughly £30 per line of stock, however, this is generally cheaper for the majority of stocks. If you're interested in doing so, please call our dealing team on 020 7896 0000 during market hours and we'll be happy to assist. All the best
  15. Thanks for your post. Horizon Technology Finance Corp is available on both our leveraged and non-leveraged account. All the best
  16. Thanks for your post. If you have a leveraged account you can add a stop on the deal ticket when you open the position. If the positions is already opened you can go to positions tab and add a stop using the stop column. With out share dealing/ ISA accounts we don't offer stop losses but you can have a stop order (on exchange) but this order type means that we would sell at that price or worse. Another thing other traders do is set a price alert on the stock and once you get a notification you can login and try and sell the stock on exchange or at quote. I hope this helps
  17. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You're right this is no longer on our platform so should no longer be displayed on the website. I will speak with our shares desk and websites team today. All the best
  18. This is definitely an error. Oil was trading that day. If you're still having this issue with your demo account please email here: chartsupport@marketdatasystems.com (our technical team). All the best
  19. With this could you email us stating the issue and include a copy of ID (driving licence or passport) as proof. If this is due to getting married/ divorced/ legal name change we would need a request via email with a copy of ID and the legal document confirming the name change to be able to assist. All the best
  20. For share dealing accounts we do provide yearly tax statements. You should be able to find them on the MyIG page by selecting Live accounts> (make sure share dealing is selected) > Statements. If you're having issues finding the statement here, or you want a statement for a different account please email us at helpdesk.uk@ig.com. All the best

  22. If you have bought something and it's an unsettled debit you will not be able to trade with this. The reason for this is it's an unsettled amount for shares you have already bought. If you sell stock and have an unsettled credit you can trade with these funds. If you sell shares and want to withdraw the funds you have to wait 2-3 working days before you can withdraw,
  23. Thanks for your post. Unfortunately the price type and time was covered in your picture. If you have a long position on any market you need to check the Bid price on the charts for the closing price. If you go back to the chart and check the bid (sell price) you'll be able to see a difference in price at that time. If this still seems incorrect please let us know at helpdesk.au@ig.com. Thanks
