    Hi

It was done on my demo account. I want to make sure I can do a deal before I deposit real money to my real account.

    Hi @jackpiratuk,
Could you please provide more information on the rejection message that you are getting? You can upload a screenshot that would be useful.

Tudor Gold Corporation is available on our platform:

As you can see you can't attached a guaranteed stop to this positions this might be the reason of rejection.

    HI UG support,

I have an Austrlian IG share account, and like to participate in the TALGA ASX:TLG share purchase plan as I own Talga's share in my share account with IG.

It looks like I have to signup with In Talga's registry Automic: https://investor.automic.com.au/#/signup in order to purchase the share. It is however asking me for the HIN, which i understand IG operates under a Custody model, so I am not able to provide the HIN.

So how can I participate in TALGA's Share Purchae Plan?

    Thank You

    Hi All,

Under Share Trading with IG, shares purchased are held by Citi in a direct custody capacity.  Australian shares purchased through IG are registered in CHESS under Citicorp Nominees Pty Limited, with a CHESS Participant Identification Number (PID) 20018. They are held on the client’s behalf by Citibank Pty Ltd. UK and US shares are held by Citibank N.A. German shares are held by Citigroup Global Markets. The clients are the ultimate beneficial owners.
Thefore, we do not have HIn numbers to provide but the PID number 20018.

    Hi all,

I tried to sign onto the platform this morning, and I am getting a message that said IG has changed the terms and conditions for Margin Lending, and I need to accept the changes before continuing.

However, they didn't share the changes, just the entire 24 page document on the 'revised' agreement.

Does anyone know what changed? I don't really want to sign it without knowing what has changed, and called the helpline and they have no idea what changed -  and sending an email to IG has yield no response.

    Anyone?

    Hi @oldman81,

The main difference between the previous agreement is that we provided more in depth details sections such as Force Open and Netting, Closing a transaction, Corporate action etc. . These sections have been added in an effort of transparency and better understanding of the platform features for the clients

    Hi,

I'm an Australian resident and have been a retail IG customer buying Australian and US stocks for a while now.

I'm looking to buy some stocks which are listed on Hong Kong Exchange, e.g. Alibaba Group Holding Ltd which is currently traded at HKD $194.

I tried to search this stock but could only find Alibaba Group Holding Ltd - ADR on NYSE. I have no interest buying the US listed ADR stock.

How could I start buying Hong Kong stocks? Can anyone please advise the process?

    Many thanks,
    Craig

    Hi @CraigD,

Unfortunately with a share dealing account you won't be able to buy shares listed on the Hong Kong Exchange. You will have access to :image.png

    With a Leveraged account  CFD.

CFD accounts are more complex than a share dealing account.
    More details here.

I hope that it helps !

    Hi @michaeltrader,

You can find Margin requirements on this page here.

On the trading platform you can find the margin requirement in the "info" section:

    margin 1.PNG

On the deal ticket you will see the margin requirement before placing your order:

    Dear support,

I am an experienced developer but new to trading and ig.com. Now trying to develop my trading application via the provided API.

As I couldn't find any documentations about error messages and the resolutions for them, I'd like to ask if anyone can help me for the following error message.

    {"errorCode":"error.security.account-migrated"}

The response is from the session endpoint for authentication which we should access before any trading actions: [POST] https://demo-api.ig.com/gateway/deal/session

I wonder how can I solve this and be able to get the access token for other endpoints.

    Thanks for your help.

Hello, Anyone know if IG can display stock code instead of just the name of the long name of the stock. thanks

    Hi @Samlau3388,

Unfortunately at this point you can only display the company name, we had previous feedback from clients asking for tickers to be visible. We have forwarded the suggestion to the relevant department and we are working on a solution.

    Thank you - Arvin

I sold a US stock in July which up to now has not settled ( 2 weeks ago )  .

Does that mean IG  will keep the proceeds for that sale ? This has never happened to me before .

Anyone else had this issue before ?

    Hi @Bullsrule007,

The settlement periode is usually 2-3 business days for shares. The best way to follow up on that settlement would be to send your account details and the specific shares you sold to helpdesk.au@ig.com.
They will be able investigate on your query.

Recently, when I zoom out to a 30min or larger timeline on a candlestick chart, it automatically shows non-trading hours as gaps in the chart. This was not happening up to a week or two ago. How do I hide the non-trading hours so as to be able to see a continuous chart?

    Hi @nenglish,

The issue on chart has been raised to the IT department. It is only on the Demo account. On the live account the chart won't show the off market hours.
This issue should be fixed shortly.

I have had a problem with my alerts not popping ul recently when they have been "activated" . I get an email, but not the usual pop up in the trading platform. I use the old Platform

    Hi all,

Could you please check in My IG > Settings > Prices & dealing alerts:
    image.png

You can check if the alerts are correctly set up on that screen. If you have set up your alerts on a mobile app you might need to setup the alerts on the web platform as they won't carry over.  We are working on syncing both alerts across.

Also, off topic, is the only way to scroll the chart time / date through left click / hold? seems a little cumbersome..

    Cheers.

I currently own shares that are valued at $7.25 on NASDAQ.  To buy on ig.com it is $7.27, to sell it is $7.14.

Can someone explain this spread and why, after paying commission on buying shares, and paying a fee to fund our accounts, ig.com are still ripping us off with the spread?

    HI @FiftyBagger,

Could you please clarify which Stock are you referring to ?
If you have a screenshot or exact time when you saw this pricing would be useful.

    Good Morning,

I recently have made a couple of trades where my position closed out without reaching my SL level just after I closed the IG page.

Does this happens to anyone else?

PS. I do have margin as I trade on 1/10 of my capital.

    Thank you.

    Hi @Dener,

It is possible that your SL was not triggered because of a slippage.

"Slippage can happen at any time, due to two main reasons. The first reason is high volatility in the market. If there is a sudden movement of price beyond your stop order, the trade may not be closed in time and the stop may not be triggered at the level at which it was set. The second reason is that there is a gap in the market – this is when the market moves sharply up or down with little or no trading in between."
    More details here.

    I hope that it helps

I have a small ISA account that has been quite dormant for a couple of years, two open positions, one with suspended shares due to Company Admin / Insolvency a couple of years back and one still trading.

I'm incurring quarterly charges of £24 and now the tradeable shares are being sold off each quarter to cover the fees, which itself incurs more fees. So my cash balance is now virtually nil and i am unable to close the account.

I have spoken to customer services several times over the last couple of years but no one knows how i can resolve this. Last few days I have tried to escalate it but still no answers as to what to do to close off the positions.

Surely i cannot be the first person that wants to close off their positions and not be able to as some Company went pop and so the market was suspended.    Not sure if it makes any difference, but these are small sums, the original pruchase of shares for the place that went pop was only about £500.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Simch747,

In your scenario if your shares have been declared worthless, you can call our dealing desk (0800 409 6789 or +44 20 7896 0079)  to close that position at the value of 0.

Once closed, you might still occur custody fee of GBP 24 if you are trading less than 3 times a quarter or hold open positions.
