  4. Hey @HIlldogFX, - We only consider leveraged trades with a notional value of £10,000 for equities and £50,000 for forex, indices and commodities a trade of significant size. Options trades, whilst they will not automatically calculate in the GUI, can be accepted and notional can be calculated by the equivalent underlying notional (Size per point * underlying price). - With 'worked in the financial sector in a professional position' you have to have worked in a company for at least one year where you required a knowledge of derivatives trading. Unfortunately managing your own portfolio does not count. All the best

If you're referring to the emailed statements you receive everyday this can't be stopped. Once of the regulatory guidelines is to keep clients informed on their trading. Our email statements is how we do that. However, some clients have a separate folder in their emails to forward these. All the best
  16. Hey Cate, It is true that the regulators are looking to put a ban on Cryptos however there hasn't been enough information yet for us to take action. When we have more information we will reach out to client regarding their positions. I completely understand and closing positions isn't something we want to do but we will have to stay inline with regulator guidelines. Please know, we will keep you updated. All the best.
  17. This is absolutely correct, they do have an expiry. What I understood is that the position was opened and then instantly closed which shouldn't happen. But there is an expiry and if that's when it closed it's correct. @AbsurdK did you check the expiry before it opened. If not you can find it in the get info section next time. All the best
  18. Robinhood Grey market By taking a position on a grey market, you’re taking a position on a company’s potential market cap ahead of its initial public offering (IPO). The price of a grey market is a prediction of what the company’s total market capitalisation will be at the end of its first trading day. If you think the estimated value of the company is over- or under-priced, a grey market enables you to take advantage of this disparity before the shares are released publicly on the stock exchange. Why are traders interested in grey market stocks? Traders are interested in grey market stocks because it can be a way of taking advantage of movements in the company’s share price before it has actually listed. Also, any activity is usually taken as an indicator for the direction the stock price will take once it has listed. The pre-market price can be used to gauge the demand for the shares. How to trade grey market stocks. Grey market stocks are traded over-the-counter (OTC), which means that they are not offered by a stock exchange, but only by brokers and trading providers. By taking a position on a grey market stock, you’re taking a position on a company’s potential market capitalisation ahead of its IPO. If you think that the company will be worth more than the price indicated, you can buy the market. If you think that the price is an overvaluation, you can sell. When it comes to settling your trade, this can only be done once official trading of the share has begun. IG calculates the settlement price based on the official closing price of stock on after first day of trading, as reported by Bloomberg. We're LIVE with a grey market on the forthcoming Robinhood Grey market. The market Settles basis the market capitalisation of Robinhood at the official close of the primary exchange on the 1st day of unconditional trading excluding any outstanding and optional shares. All OPEN trades will be voided if there is no floatation by 31st Dec 2023. Float date is yet to be announced. Market info: Trading hours: Around the clock : bar 2115 Fri - 0800 Sat Deposit factor: 25% Lot size: $10 Min bet: £1 or $1 for CFD Max online size per clip: £50 (at this early stage) We are not offering working orders or non-guaranteed stops/ limits. CR stops are available with a stop distance of 5pts. Max size of £50 (for now) at any one level with 1 pt. spacings. CR premium has been set as 0.5pts. The market can found in the Popular Markets watchlist on Puredeal, WTP and mobile apps and the specific IPO Grey markets watchlist if available. It will not appear in the WTP search function. This market is available to clients in the UK, Australia, and most European sites (France, Spain and Portugal excluded). It is not available for clients based in Dubai, Japan, and Singapore.
  19. Hey @CPerry, thanks for this post! Our minimum consideration for UK shares is £90. With regards to strategy I'm unable to help however there are loads of people on the community that would love to help. When buying stock you can't buy a percentage. When you bring up a deal ticket instead of typing the amount of shares you are able to change it to the amount of money you want to spend on the stock. On the share dealing account we don't offer access to indices (FTSE, S&P, Wall st e.c.t.). These markets can be traded on our leveraged accounts, which is why there's a red dot. If there's a green dot it means the market is open to trade. If there's a blue dot it means the market is closed. I hope this helps and if you need anything else let me know
  20. Hey, Thanks for your post. Card withdrawals usually take 2-4 working days but they are the slowest of all withdrawal process. We do have the option to withdraw back to bank accounts (1 working day) or paypal (usually 24 hour on working days but as fast as 2 hours). If you're a new customer and you funded with a card you may have to send all the funds back there but when you're with us for a longer time you will be able to verify you card and send funds back to different sources if you wish. All the best
  21. Hey Richard, I'm unable to update you on your application as you added a post as a guest but your account manager should be able to help. If you have received an email from ourselves you can respond to that for an update or call/ live chat us. With regards to US shares you will be able to find an appropriate form on the page below under 'trading US shares' https://www.ig.com/uk/investments/share-dealing/important-documents Unfortunately we can't advise you on which form to fill out but there are some help links on the page. All the best
  22. Hey @AbsurdK, Thanks for your post. Sometimes if you're close to the deadline date the positions can close however if it's that close that it practically closed straight away that wouldn't be the case. Demo accounts can sometimes have issues as we put most of our resources into the live accounts however there were no known issues with them earlier this week. What I would suggest is emailing/ live chatting us so we can walk you through what happened. All the best
  23. Hey @riptraders, Thanks for your post. If you get locked out of your account due to 3 incorrect password attempts you have to contact us so we can unlock it for you.
