  1. Hey Paul, We're sorry about this change. Unfortunately we have to follow guidelines and make these changes in preparation. Share dealing accounts won’t be transferred during this process. Your account will be set to closings only and you will have up until 31 March 2021 to sell your holdings (commission free) or transfer out to a different broker. To learn more on how to transfer out your holdings please click here. All the best
  2. Expected index adjustments Please see the expected dividend adjustment figures for a number of our major indices for the week commencing 4th Jan 2020. If you have any queries or questions on this please let us know in the comments section below. For further information regarding dividend adjustments, and how they affect your positions, please take a look at the video. NB: All dividend adjustments are forecasts and therefore speculative. A dividend adjustment is a cash neutral adjustment on your account. How do dividend adjustments work? This information has been prepared by IG, a trading name of IG Markets Limited. 3. You can either sell and rebuy but as @Matt5100 mentioned you have to wait a few working days for the funds to settle before you can rebuy. You can transfer shares from your share dealing account to ISA via the Bed & ISA process, which involves selling the shares and repurchase them on the ISA account. This process can be done over the phone with one of our dealers. It'll cost £40 in commission per line of stock to sell the shares on share dealing account but free of charge to repurchase on the ISA. There will also be spread costs which is capped to roughly £30 per line of stock, however, this is generally cheaper for the majority of stocks. All the best

  5. Hey @Matt5100, All your ISA cash and stock is held in one account. We have 2018-2019 allowance in the same account as your 2019-2020 allowance. You don't get charged double fees. The stock transfer always takes a little bit longer than the cash to come across. If you need an update you can always live chat or email us if you need us When we receive cash and stock from other providers they let us know which tax year it falls under. I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else by '@' me All the best
  6. Hey @Ivan1602, If something is converted it's simply the profit/ loss converted at the current exchange rate. The A$117 CRPREM charge does seem high. When we have a guaranteed stop charge we will not change it. Say you traded and the CR premium was 2pts it would be the size x contract size x 2pts. If your position is open and the CR premium changes to 40pts and your stop is triggered we will only charge you the 2 pts premium as that's what you agreed to pay when the position was opened. I would advise reaching out to our helpdesk who can look into the account and advise you further on that charge. All the best
  7. Hey @Zack99, I hope you're well. The reduced rate only works when you have traded 3 or more times in the pervious calendar month. I hope this helps. All the best
  8. Cryptos. Bitcoin seeing a record high yesterday. Check this out if you would like a 2 minute breakdown from our IGTV team.   Please note the market price has moved from 2 days ago but it put into perspective how much market value Bitcoin has.
  9. Hey @oujia, I will do a run down for the desktop version. If this isn't what you needed let me know and I will be happy to help. You have to search a market and click the 'Add to workspace' button: Once added you may only see one chart. You need to click the button above the deal ticket. This will separate all the charts you added to the workspace. Then use the corners of the graph to move them to the preferred size and location. You can also have watchlists and the news & analysis feeds on the page:

  13. Hey, Transfers usually take 4-6 weeks but it depends on how cooperative the broker you're transferring from is. Please know our settlement period works on a T+2 (+3 for US shares) basis. This means the cash for these shares won't settle on your account the day you sell them but two working days.later. The funds should be available to withdraw by close of business 2 working days late. Please note that if you want to trade with the funds before they settle you can. All the best

If the deposit has taken longer than this it's best to reach out to us with a bank statement showing the funds from your account to IG. Please also send this document if the funds were transferred from someone elses bank account/ business account. We will only allocate funds from an account in your name. If after 10 days the funds haven't been allocated we send them back to the account they came from. All the best

  20. Can I trade share options with IG? This question has been popping up around the community. Yes, you can trade a range of share options with us. Select popular stocks are available to trade on our web platform, and our full range is available to trade by phone. Can I trade share options online, or do I have to phone to deal? That depends on which markets you’d like to trade. We are testing online trading for share options, and to start off with we’re offering Tesla shares (weekly and monthly expiries). Over the coming weeks we hope to expand this offering, depending on client demand. You can trade our full range of share options – offering stocks from the world’s major exchanges – by phone on 0800 409 6789. How do I trade share options online? You can trade weekly and monthly share options in our web platform. Rather than finding them in the options flyout, each has their own watchlist. For example, you’d trade Tesla from the ‘Tesla Options’ watchlist: What are share options? Share options are contracts that enable you to trade on the price movement of an underlying stock. You can use share options to take a view on whether you think a stock’s price will be above or below a certain level – the strike price – at the option’s expiry. Normally, buying a share option would give you the right to buy or sell a share at the strike on expiry. However, when you trade share options with us, rather than trading an option directly, you’re trading a CFD on an option’s price. All this means is that, instead of having the right to buy or sell shares at a certain price, your positions will be cash-settled on expiry. So you’ll never have to worry about delivering, or taking delivery of, the underlying shares. As with more traditional options, you’ll never risk more than your initial payment when buying. You can trade select share options on our web platform, and phone 0800 409 6789 to deal on our full range . Which stocks can I trade using share options? You can currently trade Tesla (weekly and monthly expiries) online,. We hope to expand this offering over the coming weeks depending on client demand. You can also trade our full range of share options over the phone, on 0800 409 6789. As long as there is a tradable option in the underlying, we offer all options on shares in the FTSE® 100, the DOW 30, the S&P 500, the Nasdaq 100 and some large cap Canadian and Australian stocks, as well as on a large selection of European options traded on Eurex or Euronext. What are the dealing hours of share options? Dealing hours for share options are as follows: UK share options: 08:00–16:30 (London time) American share options: 14:30–21:00 (London time)* European shares: Market hours for the relevant exchange. Please ask for current details Australian share options: 10:00-15:55 (Sydney time)* *It may sometimes not be possible to quote a particular share option if there is no price being published in the underlying market. How much does trading share options cost? We charge a spread depending on where the shares you’re trading originate: 5c on US shares 3p on UK shares 3c on European shares You can find the full details in the ‘share options’ tab of our fees and charges.

  23. Thank you for letting me know about this. It's actually something we're looking to set up for next year and that was a preview for our team. Apologies for any confusion, I've tried to hide it but if it's still showing on the feed I will get it deleted. Thanks again for the heads up! 👍
  24. Hey, Thanks for your first post. The leveraged we offer is fixed. Unfortunately it can't be changed.
  25. Hey @Wilky1009, Thanks for you first post. We pass the cash to our clients we receive from our brokers and if this has incorporated withholding tax then that will be the reason. Unfortunately we're not able to give out too much tax advice/ information but if you check the stocks you may be able to see if it was subject to tax. All the best
