Hey guys, A stop order works the same as a stop however because you're selling real shares we can't guarantee the level we sell all your shares at. If we take the ticket above as an example, the price is at 172.6/ 172.66. If you wanted your shares to be sold when the price drops down to 160 you would put stop market day(for the day) or GTC(good for 90 days). The only issue is, say you wanted to sell shares but only 50 are a 160 then the market continues to drop the next 50 will be filled at the next best price (but the next best price is lower 159.9).

Hey @UPSHOT, thanks for your first post! The position size, if you wish to close half would need to be at least double to minimum bet size. For example, if you wanted to do this for GBP/USD you would have to open 2 contracts. From there you will then be able to closed out one by using trading the opposite way and selecting 'net off' on the deal ticket. Also, if you opened a position and once you were in profit you decided you wanted a limit on half and leave the other half running you can call us and we will split your position into 2 for you. From there you can add stops and limits. Thanks, if you need me '@' me in the post

@cryptotrader & @nicks, thanks for your posts. After speaking with someone in our technical team they they said that if you're using FireFox there are issues blocking data from updating. The best browser to use is Chrome or at least try it to see how it works. If you do like using FireFox you can have a look at the add ons that you have installed and disable some of them to see if one of them is blocking the data. Also make sure your Firefox is updated to the latest version. Someone has brought up this issue when using FireFox. The incident number if you need it is INC0378846. The futures markets we offer are the underlying market price with IG spread wrapped around it. Do you mind giving me an example so I can explain how it's prices. Your account value will be your funds minus any margin plus/ minus your profit/ loss. Please give me some clarification and I will be happy to go over this

That's correct, the name for our company in Switzerland is IG Bank.

EUR CPI was out at 10am GMT but will the US Retail sales MoM (out at 13:30 GMT) affect EURUSD?

We're looking to add some guides for Share dealing and ISA accounts when we release our new platform (early next year) but not a demo. The news came out this morning about Germany avoiding a recession in Q3, however with such good news the Dax has still dropped this morning. Thanks for your response @SGibbs2 We don't offer a statement that calculates your Capital gains tax. We're not regulated tax advisers which is why we don't provide that information. The CTC statements we do provide can be used to determine what CGT you have to declare.

Hey @SGibbs2 thanks for your message. With non-leveraged accounts (Share dealing), you will be able to find CTC statements on the platform on the MyIG page by selecting Live accounts> Statement. If you can't find it there, open up the platform and select My Account> History> Statements. With leveraged (CFD or spread betting) accounts you will need to contact us and request them. Let me know if you need anything else by '@' me.

We can already see the affect the inflation announcement had on the FTSE today at 9:30, but it's recovered slightly. We have the US CPI announcement today at 13:30 GMT. This is something to keep in mind this afternoon.
